Fore Family Vineyards

In 1986-87, Jim won first place with his Pinot Noir in the Napa Town and Country Fair home winemaking division. This gave him the drive to plant a small Cabernet Vineyard in the back yard on Estee Avenue. Since then, the passion has grown to sixty acres between Napa and Lake County.

Diane is a Kindergarten teacher and is now very involved in all the facets of the family business from sales to assisting with tending the vineyards, managing sales meetings, bookkeeping, while teaching part time, Diane stays very busy.

At the inception of Fore Family Vineyards, the hope was that it would be a family business. At that stage, Melissa and Eric were too young to commit to that endeavor. Now that they are adults, they are able to bring their own skills and strengths to the family business and share the pleasures of wine.

The general philosophy of Fore Family Vineyards is to grow the finest wine grapes possible using sustainable techniques and values acknowledging that we are transient stewards of the land.

Winemaker’s Tasting Notes:omega replica watches

The medium to light ruby color announces the charm and elegance of the wine.  Pinot is all about the wonderful and exotic aromas that no other grape variety can offer – its structure meant to be lively and refreshing, never weighty.  The nose offers notes of cinnamon, black cherry, rose petal, and orange peel, intertwined with a sweet toasty oak element.  Strawberry flavors emerge and lead to a surprisingly broad mouth-feel, helf in check by appropriate acidity.
